The challenge: 

Our client, a major global bank, required us to supply high volumes of specialist IT contingent workers for their Digital Transformation Programme, to bring about a stepped change in their digital capabilities. 

Their requirements encompassed the full IT enterprise, from programme and project managers, product owners and scrum masters through to architects, developers, and DevOps. 

They needed candidates who possessed specialist financial services experience and had had proven exposure to large and complex IT environments. 

The solution: 

We used the combined power of our dedicated technology recruitment specialists and specialist second tier agencies to fulfil our client’s needs. 

To successfully deliver the project on time and within budget, we provided: 

  • Dedicated resource - we established dedicated service management and workforce partnership teams with vast IT experience. These formed the interface between our client and our acquisition teams 

  • IT talent acquisition - we used an array of sourcing tools, including AI automated search and match software, to extend our reach across the technology sector, and maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of our sourcing campaign 

  • Talent pooling - our teams worked alongside the bank’s workforce planning stakeholders to understand the demand pipeline, and in turn proactively build vertical market driven talent pools 

  • Project management - we appointed a team of dedicated project managers to drive sourcing campaigns, and manage all associated project documentation and communication 

The results: 

The bank required 375 contingent workers across multiple staffing categories to deliver the programme, and we successfully fulfilled this requirement on time, primarily via direct sourcing with support from our supply chain. 

This project was part of a larger partnership we had with the client – a managed service programme, under which Reed Talent Solutions sourced, on average, more than 2,000 workers per year, over a 20-year period.
