Our client, a local authority based in the Yorkshire area, was struggling with a backlog of children’s services cases and delays in engagement.
With a limited budget and extensive competition from other local authorities in a similar position, the council had a history of lacking top quality, highly experienced staff.
The coronavirus pandemic hadimpacted this difficulty further.
They needed a project team of social workers with a minimum of three years’ experience post-qualification in front-line child protection services, who were fully DBS cleared and who had five years of continuous references.
Reed Talent Solutions analysed the local authority’s unique challenge to come up with a bespoke service and solution.
To do this, a project consultant was deployed to lead the project, along with a team of four practitioners.
Depending on demand, this core team was supported by consultants from our associate pool. The team were supervised by one of our delivery managers, our head of project management office (PMO), and a PMO analyst.
Reed Talent Solutions conducted compliance and due diligence for the authority, undertaking all relevant reference checks and onboarding.
Our team was put in place in less than four weeks after our initial engagement. Within this period, we undertook the full project scoping, statement of work design and strategic workforce plan.
Through strong communication and full visibility of both spend and performance, we were able to deliver the project to budget and delivered all our client’s requirements.
Reed Talent Solutions was able to engage a pre-qualified pool of top quality, experienced social workers from our associate pool, while a shared risk services agreement ensured mutual accountability and pay-on-success commercials.
We were also able to provide a quick, compliant route to market via the YPO Managing Consultancy framework and complete visibility over spend and performance.
