The Challenge

Recruiting graduates and trainees outside normal recruitment boundaries for the client’s first ‘Trainee Manager Programme’

Reed Talent Solutions was approached in May 2018 to support the client’s recruitment drive to find talented individuals to embark on their trainee management scheme.

Within this, candidates are appointed on a four-year, fixed-term contract to operations, commercial or technical placements, while externally enrolling onto a business or technical degree.

Our client previously attempted their own campaign to little avail and approached Reed Talent Solutions for a fast, effective result.

The Solution

Source, screen and submit candidates to assessment centres over 8-10 weeks; ensuring successful candidates were available to start in September

By utilising our market leading recruitment technology and additional intelligence gathered by our Talent Partners, it meant that our client was engaging with the very best new talent. Along with our candidate assessments at each event, our RPO Talent Partners also provided recruitment support and guidance to ensure it was the right fit for candidates.

The Results

We recruited 14 candidates to the ‘Trainee Management Programme’ across the required multiple locations and disciplines

All candidates who were offered roles successfully enrolled on to their university courses to begin their degree in the September 2018.

We completed a full review of the processes, challenges and successes for our client, providing support when planning their recruitment campaign for the following year.

Overall, the client expressed appreciation for our services and were very pleased with the recruitment processes we put in place, and the overall outcome of the project.
